Help to buy some things in Switzerland

Post by Chileantiques »

Hi need a little help,
i need to buy some materials (engraving bits) from http://www.realtools.ch .
The engraving bits brand was DIXI polytools Part Number : 976374 corresponding to Engraving bit tip 0.05mm x 3mm shank.
Any similar 0.05mm tip 30 or 35 degree (total) will work.
I dont speak german or french, so if someone can help and find if they sell online or just in the store.
If someone can help i will really appreciate,

The tip might be a little too wide for you, 0.1mm 30 degree, but the price will be way cheaper if you can use these.

I've bought from supermario-au on ebay many times. Always happy.

Maybe send him a note and ask if he can source 0.05mm. That's pretty small, What type of run out on your machine do you have. I'm getting jealous over here. I'm happy cutting down in the 0.20 mm range.

I also got some good prices from these guys recently. In the US.

I don't see the style that you are looking for there, but maybe they might have something else that would work for you.

All the best, P.

Is that for brass engraving? I was very satisfied with pyramide bits 30 deg 0.1 mm...

@binbin thanks, well, yes i have tested all those, the one you show at a requiered engraving deep was too much. I have tested a lot of Engravings and also measure tip under measure microscope and notices theres a big difference between "same model or same size" and those tolerances between each tool was big on those small measures, also noticed on price :( ... Regullary i buy from a guy called Drillman1 on ebay, he sells a brand called Kyocera, have a lot of good stuff. I buy from him some straight endmills 0.11mm and compared to the angled 0.05 swiss at the requiered engraving deep and theres a loooooot of difference, i check also after engraving the trace left under microscope. Consider engraving 616 Bridges i use 0.15 to 0.2 straight endmill. And yes, my machine was very precise and runout was extremely low. Consider my machine weights about 300KG with a working table of 40x30CMS. Full metal casting with extremely rigid frame. I choose some components of that machine (high precision double nut ball screw, high presición linear rails, ceramic bearing high presición spindle, and also use Techniks High Presición ER20 collect that have half runout that regular ones, etc.) So Its not a swiss machine but it have enough high presicion and low runout/vibrations to work fine with those tools. If you dont have enought rigidity and vibrations the tip or the life use of the tools will be low.
You can see in the pic below the differences between 0.1MM straight on bottom (will keep 0.1 no matter the depth) and the swiss one on top. Notice the bottom engraving wasnt aligned as i make fast just to test and compare.

@tafari That will be great.
The Series of the tools was 7009, the ref Part number is 976374, but any 30 or 35 Degree with a 0.05Diameter tip (helicoidal or straight 1 or twoo flutes will be ok for me).
Also can be part : 976370 (same series 3/4 but without DINAC coating)
