How about some vintage mahogany?

Mahogony is a photosensitive wood that changes with exposure to UV light over time. I can not recall the exact term, but the patina (for lack of a better word) makes for a very stunnning box as it ages.

Okay....not exotic wood, but it’s lead laden (paint) and good for up to 24 watches.

That is my favorite box .. the clock doesn't work though

The single watch Ironwood box is really cool .. and heavy

About 33 ... the middle insert also comes out and you can store thin items below ... buckles, dials, parts, etc

This looks like a box made by Donerix.
He used to be member in old H-F and every quarter or so he would have made a sale of straps and boxes.
He is located in Nicaragua.
Chances are that you still find him in other respective fora.

The word I was thinking of was iridesecence. I must be getting old. A day later the word comes to me. :D
