There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

The lume of the hour hand got stuck to the dial and was affecting the movement. [emoji2962]

And it was dirty too.

New fresh battery and done!ImageImageImageImageImage
I know you said that you were done with big watches. This is a bit extreme don’t you think?

"Done with big watches"? I have surely missed something here!?

Nah, he is pulling our legs

I still prefer big watches. That's an old lady watch... of course :shh:

Can’t seem to take this one off my wrist. Finally had the balls to repair the day/date/moonphase jump gear-cam. Working on chronos is growing on me.

Repairs:
-day pusher for quick set
-day/date/moonphase jump gear-cam

I lose track of what day it is during quarantine, and now with the phase of the moon, I feel so much more safe sitting at home. ;)

-The strap changes everything too. From modern to vintage.

Based on the ever popular Valjoux 7750 used by so many brands. This style in particular is very common. I didn’t realize it until I started to research the style. Even Omega has a triple date version.

This brand (relatively newcomer to the Swiss world) calls the movement ML-112

Cold plating, no electricity?
yes no electricity, is a chemical nickel plating.
1. you put it in Palladium activation
2. in 70°-90° hot stromlos nickel.

works not so bad

wikipedia

Chemical nickel plating Edit source]
→ Main article: chemical nickel
Electroless chemical nickel plating is one of the reduction processes. The objects to be nickel-plated are immersed in special electrolytes and a nickel coating is deposited on the surface of the objects without the application of an electrical voltage. Chemical nickel plating is characterized by a uniform layer thickness, even with complicated parts and on internal surfaces. In addition, the surfaces are characterized by very high hardness, good abrasion resistance, and excellent corrosion protection. Chemical nickel coatings are solderable and (although nickel is one of the ferromagnetic metals) not ferromagnetic.
The bright, shiny nickel coating is a nickel-phosphor alloy, which is non-porous. The layer properties of a chemical nickel coating depend on the purity of the base material, the pretreatment and the layer thickness. Mostly processes are used in which the phosphorus content is between 8.5 and 12%.
