1:1 Resin inserts

Post by madasboot »

I will be producing 1:1 resin inserts for myself.
BP FFs, Oyster GMTs.

It has been a long process from my hand made 3 step build; success ratio very low, spoiling three to get one right:

I had to systematize, understanding where risks were and one is resin quality, other curing process.

Both solvable, so now I work with korean resin and bought my curing station:

Technicalities aside, one aspect remaining… my own time.

So I decided to produce molds:

Specially made by a friend, an old gentleman specialized in dental prosthetics these are the best devised solution for an optimal result.

One last thought; I am frequently reached by PM for inquiries on dials and inserts. I thank you for that.
My work is mostly done by and for myself and i do no less than perfect; lots of time, lots of money, lots of patience to accept the errors in trials.
Therefore I suggest that if any of you contact me with interest, please make sure the interest is real and expectations are realistic.
My outcomes come from craftsmanship and not by industrial practice which means that for decent results it takes me long.

But one thing I am sure of is mine are the best results so I do not bargain; actually I find it offensive for the heart and art I dedicate from the biggest to the smallest things I do.

The ones who know me know it well.

Last thought; life is short and we are all temporary; both in life and hobbies.
I will be around while I will be around.

PM your interest but make sure it is interest first.
I do not have time to entertain.

Thanks.
Marco

We hear you and understand, so any approach should be done with the intention to buy.
I would like to think that a future customer has done his homework to save your precious time.

My time is no more or less precious than anyone else’s, but I am afraid I do not understand what you mean.
Could you explain, please?
Thank you
M.

That you simply do not want anything else than the intention to buy.

@Yoda

That is not what I meant.
Anyone is welcome to PM anytime.
I share everything I know and sometimes I also share what I have.
You can ask around.

What I meant was, if anyone PMs with intention to buy, to make sure that he / she is really willing to buy.
I was left hanging two or three times and as you may imagine it is lots of work and investment.

Best
