It's not at all impossible that a service is needed to make it run.

So,

Interesting development.

I put the battery back in the watch and voila, it's no longer two stepping....

Perhaps I had just not put the battery in correctly? :wtf:

Thank you for the assistance.

I'll keep you appraised!

Sounds great! Did you secure the screw on the side?

Well,

The saga continues.

After some to-ing and fro-ing I got the battery to connect back in November, and all was well, or so it appeared.

Fast forward to today, and the watch is now behaving as though the capacitor needs replacement.

I'll order the 3023 5MY and swap it out and report back.

Thanks to all who provided support, both moral and otherwise :)

What a saga. Sometimes battery watches need some help to move the gears because of not being serviced for too long. I use a demagnetizer to get the gears moving.

Also replaced the battery.

My uses the 7M22 movement and didn’t have a problem after servicing and replace the battery

H'mmm,

Interesting thought. What's involved in "servicing"?
