I think you deserve it more than anyone else so no harm in lying to a Karen.Yoda wrote:I met the lady again yesterday afternoon and she wondered why I wanted to pay $6 for a non working watch.....
I lied and said that I needed the crown and that original Omega crowns are hard to find.
I admit that I am over the moon, a perfect movement, perfect hands and a perfect dial.
The case has no dings and dents, plexi is nice and I only need to service the movement and give the case a little TLC.

Now to find out what strap to go with the Omega 120...
I'd like a raw looking one, kinda dress watch for every day use.

I could imagine a minimal stitch might go well.

I am not an expert on Omega, so I have read about the different types and it seems that the Seamaster 120 was made in four different types, with date, without date, automatic (calibre 552, correct me if I am wrong) and the manual calibre 601, the one with the 601 being the most uncommon.
I saw one in an auction, it was a bit well used and went for $970, seems that my $6 Omega was a pretty good deal.

Saw a 601 in very good condition almost without any wear marks for $1800. Very good dealYoda wrote:I am not an expert on Omega, so I have read about the different types and it seems that the Seamaster 120 was made in four different types, with date, without date, automatic (calibre 552, correct me if I am wrong) and the manual calibre 601, the one with the 601 being the most uncommon.

I'll skip the service of the Seamaster 120, it starts on the second turn of the crown and runs for hours on those three or four turns.
