Apparently is identical to the Seiko 7T32. Maybe a swap is possible?

Re: Leaking battery....
Yep, looks like not much out there. This is all I could find.Yoda wrote:I have a Pulsar chronograph with a Shiojiri Y182B movement, unfortunately the battery has leaked and some of the electronic part is gone.
Looked all over the Internet for a new movement or a replacement, but no luck.
I hope that one of you guys have an idea, or know.

I was once in a similar situation, and I found a similar watch with the same movement but it took a lot of looking. Good luck.

Re: Leaking battery....
I have noticed that and I am afraid that it will take a while.
There are many watches with Shiojiri, Hattori, Epson, Pulsar and Seiko marked movements out there, but I find it hard to butcher a good working watch just to save my own.

Re: Leaking battery....
I get it. I actually butchered a really nice looking watch to get that movement but I wanted to fix my aunts watch so had no choice.

Re: Leaking battery....
I have had this watch for almost 30 years and suddenly I forgot about the battery when it stopped working, embarrassing as I always tell others to be observant.....
My issue is that it looks new, cream dial and pristine condition, except for the movement.

Re: Leaking battery....
That would be great, thank you! As long as the movement is compatible with Epson, Hattori, Shiojiri, Seiko and Pulsar marked Y182B or 7T32.sully008 wrote: ↑April 21st, 2021, 10:00 pm Somal Canada has the Seiko 7T32 movement for $25cdn.

Re: Leaking battery....
I could be wrong, but I suppose that I could simply replace the electronic parts and avoid tearing down the watch completely.
I still have a low effect soldering iron from when I worked on electronics for bombs.
