In that article Perez mentions that a caseback that was stamped 2533 were later installed onto a different 3646 case thus creating the confusion surrounding the 2533.mykeos wrote: ↑August 16th, 2019, 1:26 pmThe original ref. 2533, perhaps?bmsm wrote: ↑August 16th, 2019, 11:59 am Vintage 27mm Rolex cushion case

That being said, the caseback would then have to be large enough and also be threaded in order to install it onto a 47mm 3646 case. The case set in that ebay auction is much smaller and has a snap on caseback. Not sure what that watch is but I would say its definitly not a 2533.

I also think that it is too small. The case back engravings have the number 7301.thelonedoc wrote:In that article Perez mentions that a caseback that was stamped 2533 were later installed onto a different 3646 case thus creating the confusion surrounding the 2533.mykeos wrote: ↑August 16th, 2019, 1:26 pmThe original ref. 2533, perhaps?bmsm wrote: ↑August 16th, 2019, 11:59 am Vintage 27mm Rolex cushion case

Indeed it is too small, the shape is right, though. All they had to do is make a larger case for the larger pocket watch movement and here came the 2533.I should have formulated my previous post more precisely.bmsm wrote: ↑August 16th, 2019, 2:46 pmI also think that it is too small. Experts of the board, what is your opinion, what happened here?https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cortebert-Noml ... true&rt=nc
We've seen a couple of theese sold on the bay for much lower sums.Do you think someone bought it for a 618 conversion?I doubt that would be a good deal since the microregulatorcan would be a tell.Clueless...
