Gruen 381/380

Post by atkin68 »

I really love these movements, I have a few. They wind and run as smooth as butter, and they look fantastic. A bit of a pain to adapt to a flat dial since they are curved, but worth the trouble.

The bottom plate has a curved surface to it?

Wow, I thought I had misunderstood. I've never seen anything like that.

If you have a lathe you could make a really cool dial for that. I'm thinking of all the possibilities. :)

Thank you for posting the picture.

Indeed. The dials they came with are pretty cool themselves and would be a good base for creativity...but I can't locate them now.
