Angelus NOS ?

Post by mountaineer »

This small Angelus clock is for sale. Seller states it it new old stock and will fit Pam 47mm case.

Can you tell what movement this is by the following pics. It looks like key wind alarm. I believe these are expensive to convert.

Is this worth exploring in greater detail? Seller has multiple in stock.

Not an expert! But the pictures doesn't look like the few Angelus movement types we're usually using for a good modded. I maybe wrong! Let's wait for other members to chips in for more info.

The guys are right. Wrong movements.

@mountaineer
On another note, I like the clock in the second photo. Is he asking a reasonable price?

Thank you.

I note also the seller says about his purchase from another “Seller told me the movement is found in some version of Panerai, with a 47mm case” so he might be relying on what he was told without knowing. Does the sticker on the box - “ 8J” - suggest 8 jewels?

many sellers of Angelus clocks are mislead by the high selling prices of the Angelus clocks that came with SF240 movements.
