movement suggestions for mille metri

Post by tafari »

hello all,
I need some help for a movement for river mille metri case. normally they use eta 2824-2 automatic movements. but Im not a fan of automatic movement, because most of my watches dont get enough wrist time. thats why I prefer hand wound movements. so I look for a alternative hand wounding movement.

there is the eta 2801-2 and the sellita sw210-1 both movements are the same measurement with the eta 2824-2 only the hight is different because of the rotor for the automatic is missing.

the eta 2801-1 is not so easy to find, the sellita ofrei has them for a good price.
any experience with the sellita sw210-1?
or any other movement handwound which can fit inside this case?

thanks for help

Eta 27** series movements also
"Ah, I'd love to wear a rainbow every day,
And tell the world that everything's OK,
But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,
'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black."

Some genuine examples had a 2770 in them. Some prototypes a 2824.
