Re: gen 3646
thanks guys, as most of you know im an nos guy, im not a big fan of bts look, but this one may have just the right amount!
the dial is gen, the movement is as close as i guess your going to get, the case was one of only 3-4? that were made to spec
with a gen case in hand, so its really 1:1 not something i say often, as most things arnt even close to 1:1. even the crown itself
is made up of 4 threadded parts then the tube into the case. all sealed with lead gaskets just like the gen.
the ring was custom fabricated in house for the movement, then aged, needs some more time to get it looking just right.
the hands were cheep blue painted hands, that were nickle plated then heat blued.
the radium is a trick! those little tens are hundreds of dollars if you can find them. i searched for over a year till i got some.
applying it was even harder you need to heat the applicator then scrape up some and spread it on like a trowel.
obviously that wasnt going to work with the plastic disk. or the half ass made blued hands.
the strap needs some more age but that wont be too hard to do.
it has taken some serious time to gather these parts and get it to this point
thanks again for all the kind comments!
