Having a case done with a maker may well be an option.
In any case we would have to discuss the MOQ.
54 watches for instance wants 500 pieces:

Legendwatch partially requests only 1 case as MOQ:

Perhaps we could also contact Dan from OWC. I can imagine that he is quite experienced in sourcing cases.

I like the Zerograph idea. If we did that we could use a cartel case and have someone make a custom bezel.
Something like these by Esdee but stainless:

Thats basically the zerographe bezel. Custom hands, dial, and case back and we are in business.

Do we need to get this down to 3 and then move forward from there?

It looks like (depending on price) our run will be in the 10-25 range.
:shifty:

Bumping this up a little.

I was thinking movements. We should definitely use a vintage movement for this, handwind. Probably one of those size 10 hamiltons....

Funny there’s interest again... wondered what happened to this. I read the thread a couple of days back and was collecting pics of the zerograph since. The original is quite small and the relation width of the bezel to case size is completely different from the standard Rolex model. So using a vintage submariner style case and slamming a new bezel on would not achieve the right feel.
Would it be considerable to fit a stepped plexi to a vintage sub rep, turn down the original bezel on a lathe and fit/ solder/ glue an overlay to it with the right relation?

Don‘t know if this makes sense... I might have to sketch it.

I was thinking... It would be a little funny and fun (possibly dangerous), if we make a limited homage to another homage maker (like VDB).

And we definitely need to use or make a reference to A1 sauce on the dial....
