I had some of the buckles bead blasted. I think they look pretty cool :) The five in front were made by me and the two in the back row are reshaped and flattened stock buckles (IMHO the stock PAM buckles are too curvy). The other three are stock buckles.

With my super secret custom made bending tools, naturally ;) Essentially, a hardened nail and a pair of pliers. Place the tang on cutting board, near edge, press it down with the nail, bend up with fingers - cut excess, re-finish the end - bend around buckle with pliers.

I see from your pictures that the tang is connected to the body of the buckle with a pin, is this a spring pin by chance?
