So I have ordered the eBay watch (mentioned in previous post) 6105 Dial on a sterile Sharkey 6105 case with NH35 movement. How he got the DW to align with the Date window he has not explained, The watch is coming from the UK to California and I hope to have it by the end of the week.

Well this is far from perfect as the problem of date wheel and date window alignment was solved by shifting the dial itself slightly to the right, This of course creates a couple problems such as bezel to dial and hands to dial alignment, These are not really apparent unless you look at a specific time or angle. I'm not giving up yet, I still think I can either overlay a seiko date wheel or use a Seiko movement.

To the naked eye, looks good to me, but I appreciate the drive and desire to get it perfect.

Creative fix. I probably would have missed that little "issue" if you had not pointed it out.

Could a different frame around the date window be used? Allow you to file a little to the left and hide a little of the right side opening.

Or, if you would be happy with no date you could cover the date hole with another indice marker. They look large enough to work.

You could fill the current date window hole with lume. The existing frame around the window could be used. It probably would not look exactly perfect.

I think the suggestion of another indice marker would work. Do you have a rectangle one from the original dial?

Just as a follow up. This guy just received 6105 NH35 dials and will soon be building these.
This link is to his old watch. You must ask for the 6105 NH35 dial.

I got tired of trying to make a good 6105 so I just bought this, Now I have 3 complete 6105 Homages or Seiko hybrids I need to sell plus several complete and partial Seiko movements... The SLA033 scratched my 6105 itch.

I have done a few with Homage cases and after market dial.
This one is a fantasy build in bronze (Sharky).
